We used to swaddle our twins, then when they started trying to roll we knew that wasn’t safe anymore. That was when we started putting them in sleep sacks for bedtime and nap time.

Sleep sacks are like a baby wearable blanket and our babies love them. We’ve made a list of the best baby sleep sacks to help you with choosing one for your little one.

We love our weighted sleep sacks from Dreamland Baby Co so much. They are weighted on the front, but not the back. The have a dual zipper, which means that you can zip it from the top or bottom.

This really helps with diaper changes. We have 0-6 months size in these and they worked great until our babies hit 16 pounds.

We used the fleece one and it is a great baby sleep sack for winter. We got size small in these. This is a good sleep sack for a newborn because you can also use it to swaddle them until they start rolling.

How should a sleep sack fit?

You might be wondering how should a sleep sack fit? You should follow the size charts for height and weight that each sleep sack has. Your baby should be able to wear their pajamas or a onesie underneath without it making the sleep sack too tight.

You don’t want the neck opening to be so loose that it can come up over your baby’s face and cause them to not breathe. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, infants aren’t supposed to sleep with loose blankets, so a sleep sack is a great alternative to a blanket.
