  • 14" pizza pan

Pizza Dough

  • 1 yeast packet
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • cups flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

Sauce and Toppings

  • ½ cup + 2 tsp BBQ sauce
  • ¼ red onion
  • ½ cup pineapple
  • ½ cup chickpeas
  • 1 tbsp cilantro

  • In a large mixing bowl combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for about 2 minutes until it looks a little frothy and the yeast is coming up. This is activating the yeast.
  • Add flour, salt, and olive oil to your yeast mixture. Mix it all together. Cover and let it rise for an hour.
  • While your dough is rising, chop the red onion into thin slices.
  • Toss the chickpeas in 2 teaspoons of barbeque sauce.
  • When the dough is done rising, roll it out on a 14" pizza pan or baking sheet.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spread ½ cup of barbeque sauce on the pizza dough. Top it with chickpeas, pineapple, and red onions.
  • Put your pizza in the oven and bake it for 27 minutes until the crust is golden brown. Top with chopped cilantro.

  1. This dough recipe makes a thick pizza crust. If you want a thinner crust, you can use ½-3/4 of the dough recipe.
  2. You can add vegan mozzarella to your pizza if you'd like. Put it on after the sauce and before the toppings.
  3. You can add jackfruit to your pizza. Toss it in a little bit of the BBQ sauce first.
  4. Finish your pizza with green onions or another herb if you don't like cilantro.
